Bunk beds, bunk beds, oh how I love/hate you! Seriously. Bunk beds are great for stacking up kiddos and mine love theirs. It allows us to pack two kids into one small room. Here's the problem...making them!
Now don't get me wrong, we are thankful that we have them. Even better, some friends of ours gave them to us for free, along with all of the bedding. Free is ALWAYS good. However, every time I think that I can't delay any longer, I have G.O.T. to wash those sheets...I cringe(really hard).
All I have to say is that it's a good thing that I was a gymnast for 8 years because I feel like I have to use every contortion I learned to get the sheets on these beds. Really, picture me with a foot on each rail of the bottom bunk with my derrier in the air trying to lift the back corner of the mattress and tuck a sheet under it. NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. Don't even ask about the top bunk...it's mind boggling the series of positions I perform to accomplish making this bed. To top it off, my OCD, a dad who happens to be a former Marine, and my history of being a nurse, make it imperative that I get everything snugged and tucked nice-and-tight. It's enough to inspire non-G-rated language to spew out of my mouth. So not good, especially with children who love to repeat everything I say!
Ok, now my rant is complete and I get to wait another week(or two)before I have to repeat the process. Anyone else have a love/hate relationship with bunk beds?
